“Leave your ego at the door”, I was instructed.

In the world where your essence resides, only the heart is present. This is a sacred space, where the ego can’t live. Not because it’s rejected, but because it simply doesn’t exist here. This is a world with its own reality. (Read the fine print, Ego. We said this space is sacred, not scared!)

Yes, we get to choose our reality.

“But which one should I choose?”, you ask.

The one where you clearly see Forgiveness, Compassion, Loving-kindness, and Gratitude in action. They’re such active busy bees, you’ll see them gliding through the windy streets, like aromatic winds, infusing themselves into as many passersby as they can. And each time one of them leaves their fragrance behind through another person’s breath of inhalation, they excitedly exclaim “Weehee! Woohoo!” The blissful cries of success, from serving another, from being in full service.

The man over there crying those bitter tears of forgiveness toward his father. “Weehee!”, exclaims Forgiveness. “I’ve fulfilled my role!”

The teenage girl looking at herself in the mirror, reciting words of affirmation and showing self-compassion, rather than beating herself up for not being her own idea of perfect. “Woohoo!”, cries out Compassion. “I feel I’ve done my best job today!”

The teacher who sees that his student is so eager to play that instrument in the school play, even though she’s not very practiced and quite nervous, and he offers her the coveted role because he understands his role as teacher is to listen deeply and to facilitate his student’s growth. Now there’s trust. “Weehee! Yes! I’m getting better and better at this!”, yells Loving-kindness.

The mother who thanks her daughter, with tears of gratitude, for all the incredible work she did to push and maneuver herself through the canal in sync with her mother’s contractions, and let her birth with ease. “Woohoo! I couldn’t be more thankful!”, remarks Gratitude.

Practice those four pillars, and see how you will develop your senses to feel and see them everywhere, in everyone and every thing — animate and inanimate. You will come to see with clarity the beauty and the magic all around you, within you, as you. Your essence will be reflected back to you in all your perceive — distilled into sheer exuberance. Ah, what a great word, it rolls so nicely — exuuuuuberance. You come to understand prosperity and power that serves the whole, because when you embody it, you can then taste it. And, oh, how sweet it is!

What a gorgeous reality we get to choose!

Thank you, David, for inviting me to assist my first sound meditation. I am full of endless gratitude for you and the love that you embody, the ways in which you are so incredibly generous with your presence, and your corny jokes! Master of flow and all things sababa ;)
